A tribute to Francis Kleynjans, one of the greatest inspirations in my musical journey.

Romance No.1 is a neo-romantic work that is inspired by the piece with the same title written by Francis Kleynjans. Born in Paris in 1951, Kleynjans has excelled his career as a classical guitarist and composer, creating ground-breaking soundscapes on guitar, such in a piece named A l'Aube du dernier jour. Yet his works are unknown to many people. As inspired by his aesthetic, Romance No.1 presents a hint of Kleynjans’ harmonic vocabulary, as well as his repetitive yet progressive approach for developing thematic materials.
