A short monologue of fading memories.​

Songs of Lost Memories is about personal nostalgic memories of my homeland, South Korea. The piece takes on a trip to various nostalgic sounds mocked through the classical guitar, such as the wind chime of my grandmother’s front door, and the traditional instrument called Kkwaenggwari. The piece is set in theme & variation style driven by the popular theme of Korean traditional song named Arirang. The piece also attempts infusing the rhythm of the Korean traditional music into the western modern classical style writing.
