Five Skies That I Looked Up To
(Saxophone: Ryan Lynch and Cello: Darcy Gilkerson)

Five Skies That I Looked Up To is a record of my current self towards the skies of yesterday. Each miniature reflects my current perceptions of the five different photos of skies at different times and different days of the season, that I took myself in the past. Whether I would feel the same about the skies is highly doubtful as it seems that we change quicker than how nature does.
Each miniature is based on a serial procedure derived from its unique locational coordinate. This gives each miniature its own ‘identity which can be further individualised with other musical elements. Those elements are utilised to depict some of the sensual impressions that I recollected from my memory by looking at the photos, such as the warmth of the sunlight, gusty wind, bird sounds and dryness of the atmosphere
